Logo & Identity

For the second semester of my Professional Creative Practice module, I had to create myself a logo and identity, so I could brand and market myself to employers. I was fairly set on using my name and not going with a made up company, so started focusing on how I could make that a logo and how it would be relevant to me.
After messing around with a load of ideas, I kept drawing the same style of things, all relating back to the letter M and computers etc and I remember thinking I desperately needed a lightbulb moment.

And so my logo was born. It is meant to represent the digital and creative side of my simultaneously whilst looking kinda cool. I was also careful as to how I designed it as I knew I would want an animated version of it and so would need nice clean lines and shapes that could be masked and grown accordingly.

I wanted a simple 2 colour logo, of which those actually ended up comingĀ from me looking through swashes and palettes online for hours before noticing I quite liked the colour of my jack wills shorts I had on at the time and so had a little sniff around their website and coming up with something fairly similar.
