Update Four

Now the simulation was working correctly and I had a menu system in place so the levels were connected, I could begin to start creating all the outstanding levels/planets.
I worked through chronologically using all scientific data available, however as the planet’s got further from earth, the information became limited and more of a theoretical nature. Certain planets we’ve never explored such as Neptune (where no light reaches the surface) or Uranus that has a gas surface (as opposed to a solid one humans could walk on), I had to somewhat extrapolate and interpret the data in my own way.

In Unity, I could add skyboxes (to change the atmosphere), particle systems (to simulate wind and dust on the planet) and water objects to create liquid like terrains (such as Jupiter’s’ sea of liquid metal).
I even added sound, such as wind and lightning as well as implementing an audio track of someone breathing, to add to the illusion you are in a space suit.

I then assigned of all the different scenes to their relevant button on the menu system and could build the game.
