Update Five

In the previous semester, I had designed and implemented the games fundamental mechanics and so this next semester would be spent almost entirely on modelling and making the game levels themselves. Due to feedback over the christmas period there was a change in storyline and artstyle meaning a few things from the previous semester would have to be re-designed.

This first part to this involved me having to actually draw out and model all of the various characters and assets I would need for the game. I started initially with the protagonist and the three enemy types he would have to face, as these would be the most prevalent/recurring items in the game.

I next had to model the three different guitar/guns the player would use.

I then moved on to the various assets I would need and place around the map. This was stuff like trees and rocks etc. As I had 3 very different game levels I had a lot of assets to design and make. There was one recurring object amongst these however, being the main characters crashed ship, so it made sense for me to model this first and gauge the size of everything.
